About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Security Officer for a driving patrol role at a healthcare location in Somers Point, New Jersey. The officer will help safeguard patients, visitors, staff, and the facility by conducting patrols, maintaining a visible security presence, assisting with access control, responding to incidents, and documenting activity. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license. The listed pay rate is $17.50 per hour. The schedule is Friday and Saturday, 12:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors while following security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations, coordinating with hospital personnel and/or emergency responders as appropriate.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, patient care areas, parking areas, entrances, and the surrounding perimeter; identify and report unusual activity or potential hazards.
Assist with access control by monitoring entrances, verifying credentials as directed, and reporting unauthorized access concerns according to site procedures.
Accurately and promptly document incidents, observations, and patrol activity in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
