About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed Security Officer to support a food and beverage location in Glassboro, New Jersey. The role involves monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, responding to alarms or unusual activity, and providing professional customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and delivery personnel. Officers follow site-specific procedures and policies and help maintain a welcoming, orderly environment.

The schedule is Monday from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The pay rate is $17.08 per hour. Applicants are subject to a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing may be required under applicable state or local rules.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.
• A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and delivery personnel by following site-specific security procedures and policies and, when appropriate, carrying out emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of food production, warehouse, loading dock, parking, and perimeter areas to identify unusual activity, access concerns, and facility conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor, vendor, and delivery activity according to site procedures, helping maintain orderly entry and exit.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, escalate concerns, and complete required reports according to site procedures.
• Observe and report potential security-related issues, property damage, policy violations, and suspicious activity.
