About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer in Columbus, Mississippi, to serve and safeguard clients at a manufacturing and industrial location. The role involves conducting routine foot and vehicle patrols, maintaining a visible security presence, monitoring alarm activity, and supporting access control and loss prevention. This is a driving position and requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal policy. The officer provides customer service, communicates clearly, uses technology, and follows site-specific policies and emergency response procedures.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required for this driving position and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation, consistent with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, follow site protocols, and notify appropriate personnel.
Conduct regular and random foot and vehicle patrols of buildings, production areas, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations.
Monitor facility access, verify visitor and contractor credentials, maintain required logs, and report access-control concerns.
Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and promptly in accordance with company and site requirements.
