About The Position

As a full-time Unarmed Patrol Security Officer at a technology, media, and telecommunications location in Chesapeake, Virginia, you will help safeguard clients by conducting patrols, maintaining a visible presence, supporting access control, and providing customer service. You will communicate professionally with employees and visitors and help maintain a secure environment. The position pays $19.00 per hour and is scheduled Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements vary by state and locality and may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR certification.

Experience with access control and badges.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific security procedures and emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, loading zones, access points, and the perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
Monitor access control points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report unusual conditions to appropriate personnel.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following established protocols and documenting actions taken.
Complete detailed patrol logs, incident reports, and shift communications while maintaining a professional presence.
