About The Position

As a Security Officer conducting foot patrols at a Metrolink station in Montebello, California, you will serve and safeguard clients at a government location. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for visitors and staff. The role involves providing customer service, communicating clearly, and documenting security-related activity using computer or tablet tools. This is a full-time position with a mix of shifts, paying $21.84 per hour.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities at a government location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, public areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy concerns.
• Respond to incidents, service requests, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following established protocols and contacting appropriate personnel or emergency services when needed.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorized entry as directed, and maintain accurate logs, reports, and incident documentation.
• Communicate respectfully with the public and report security-related concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
