Full-time Security Officer | The Resort at Papakea
About The Position
The Security Officer is responsible for helping ensure the building remains a safe and secure environment. The role involves coordinating with police and alarm monitoring services, following building safety and security measures, staying informed about current and upcoming events in the city and county, and responding promptly and professionally to residents and guests. The officer also answers telephone calls within three rings and keeps the desk clean, neat, and orderly. The position is based at The Resort at Papakea, a resort on Maui’s Kaanapali Coast with 13 oceanfront acres and condominium accommodations.
Requirements
- Active Hawaii Guard Card required.
- Two years of related experience and/or training.
- Excellent verbal and people skills.
- Fluent English reading, writing, and speaking skills to analyze and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

- Maintain up-to-date information about current and future events in the city and county.
- Answer the telephone pleasantly and professionally within three rings.
- Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly desk.
- Respond expeditiously to resident and guest requests.
