About The Position

The Security Officer is responsible for ensuring that the building remains a safe and secure environment. The role maintains a close working relationship with police and alarm monitoring services, helps ensure building safety and security measures are followed, and keeps current information about events in the city and county. The officer also answers telephone calls professionally, maintains a clean and orderly desk, and responds promptly to resident and guest requests.

Requirements

• Active Hawaii (HI) Guard Card.
• Two years of related experience and/or training.
• Excellent verbal and people skills.
• Fluent English reading, writing, and speaking skills to analyze and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

• Answer the telephone pleasantly and professionally within three rings.
