About The Position

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Security Officer to provide a safe environment for guests and associates on company property. The role patrols and secures resort property, enforces laws and company policies, and deters illegal activities. As part of the leadership team, the Security Officer supports a safe workplace and secure environment so guests feel protected and team members can perform their duties with confidence. The position also reflects the company’s Promise to Lead with Love by guiding, supporting, and inspiring associates while helping deliver extraordinary guest experiences.

Requirements

General working knowledge of local, state, and federal laws.
Valid driver’s license in the state of employment.
Must be able to write, read, and speak English as a first language.

Nice To Haves

Previous law enforcement or military experience is preferred but not required.
Hotel or resort experience is preferred.
Bilingual skills are helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

Check in with the shift supervisor and/or manager on duty upon arrival and review security logs and reports daily.
Patrol resort lobbies, floors, common areas, associate areas, basement, and grounds.
Complete required paperwork and incident reports or statements, and notify the shift supervisor or manager on duty when finished.
Maintain confidentiality in all verbal and written actions to protect the rights of guests, associates, and the company.
Provide security for resort property, enforce laws and company policies, and deter illegal activities.
