About The Position

As a Security Officer Front Desk Credential Services in Carteret, New Jersey, you will serve and safeguard clients at a technology, media, and telecommunications location. You will welcome visitors, support access control procedures, monitor entry activity, and provide customer service while helping maintain a secure environment through clear communication, professionalism, and attention to detail.

Requirements

At least 2 years of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Greet visitors, employees, contractors, and delivery personnel professionally and provide front desk customer service.
Verify identification, process visitor registrations, issue credentials, and maintain accurate entry and exit records according to site-specific policies.
Answer and direct incoming calls, handle visitor inquiries, and communicate with appropriate personnel about arrivals, appointments, and access requests.
Observe lobby activity, monitor assigned access control and surveillance systems, and report unusual activity or security concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations by following emergency response procedures and documenting applicable activities.
