About The Position

As a part-time Front Desk Security Officer at a food and beverage location in Bloomington, Illinois, you will provide a welcoming, highly visible presence while supporting access control, visitor management, and security-related communications. You will provide customer service, help deter incidents through attentive observation, respond professionally to inquiries, and contribute to a safe and welcoming environment. The schedule is Tuesday through Thursday, 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet licensing requirements that may apply under state or local laws and regulations prior to employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
Manage the front desk and visitor access process by greeting guests, verifying identification and authorization, issuing visitor credentials, and maintaining accurate entry records.
Monitor access points, alarms, cameras, and other assigned security-related systems; report unusual activity, access concerns, and equipment issues according to site procedures.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents and critical situations, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency services when directed.
Receive and direct calls, deliveries, and inquiries while maintaining a professional front-desk presence and supporting a welcoming environment.
