Security Officer Armed Roving Detail
About The Position
As a Security Officer Armed Roving Detail in Vineland, New Jersey, you will serve and safeguard clients at an educational location. You will conduct routine armed patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond professionally to security-related concerns. The role includes providing customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. This is a full-time position paying $20.73 per hour. The scheduled hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
Requirements
- Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.
- Possess a concealed carry weapons permit.
- Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program, or equivalent.
- Possess an armed guard card or license.
- Possess a college degree.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Submit to a background investigation, as permitted by applicable law.
- Submit to a drug screen, to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required prior to employment.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and conducting emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the business and perimeter.
- Maintain a visible security presence to help deter incidents and respond professionally to security-related concerns.
- Communicate clearly and support a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.
- Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
