About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring an Armed Security Officer to support a financial institution location in Wilson, North Carolina. The role involves armed vehicle and foot patrols, maintaining a visible security presence, responding to security concerns, and providing professional customer service to clients, visitors, and employees. Officers follow site-specific procedures and policies, respond to emergencies when appropriate, and document activity and incidents.

This is a full-time driving position scheduled Monday through Friday from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, paying $22.29 per hour. Applicants are subject to background investigation and drug screening as permitted by law. Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• At least 3 years of experience as a military police officer, corrections officer, or armed security professional, or graduation as a certified law enforcement officer.
• Valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements; required for driving positions.
• At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation and drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed vehicle and foot patrols of the facility, parking areas, entrances, ATM locations, and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site procedures.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and other required documentation.
