About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Patrol Officer at a technology, media, and telecommunications location in Ashburn, Virginia. The officer helps safeguard the site by conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence, monitoring assigned areas, and providing customer service and communication. The role uses site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities as appropriate. The position pays $22.44 per hour and is scheduled Wednesdays and Fridays from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements vary by state or locality and may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior workspaces, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas, and identify and report unusual conditions or security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and delivery arrivals; verify credentials and direct guests to appropriate locations.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; document observations and notify appropriate site contacts or emergency responders.
• Prepare accurate reports of patrols, incidents, and security-related activities while maintaining a professional presence.
