About The Position

As a part-time Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location in Miami, Florida, you will help safeguard clients and the public while providing customer service. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, document observations, and respond to routine needs. The role involves following site-specific procedures and security protocols, supporting a welcoming environment, and communicating effectively. The schedule is Monday and Friday from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The pay rate is $22.53 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific procedures and security protocols.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas; identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
Monitor access points and visitor activity according to site-specific policies, verify authorized entry, and direct individuals to appropriate public service areas.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and emergencies; notify appropriate personnel and public agencies as directed.
Prepare clear, accurate activity and incident reports and maintain required logs for patrols, access-related events, and security-related observations.
