About The Position

As a full-time Security Officer in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, you will help safeguard a logistics and distribution location by managing entry points, verifying access credentials, monitoring activity, and communicating with employees, visitors, and delivery personnel. You will provide professional service and maintain a visible presence to support a secure environment and help deter incidents. The position is scheduled for daytime hours: Monday through Wednesday and Sunday, 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM. The pay rate is $16.33 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any licensing requirements applicable under state and/or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.
Possess a valid driver’s license if applying for a driving position.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by following site-specific access-control procedures and policies and, when appropriate, carrying out emergency response activities.
Monitor access points, verify credentials, maintain visitor and driver logs, and control entry and exit according to site requirements.
Screen incoming personnel, vendors, and delivery drivers; communicate access requirements; and direct authorized individuals to designated areas.
Respond calmly to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and report observed conditions.
