About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced for an assigned site in Westfield, Massachusetts. The position provides a fixed weekly anchor shift requiring a six-month commitment, with the option to claim additional shifts through a scheduling platform. Hours may vary as additional shifts are picked up, with the opportunity to work up to 40 hours per week and scale back when needed. The listed shift is Sunday, 5:00 PM–10:00 PM. Pay is $17.50 per hour.

The officer provides customer service while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities. Duties include unarmed patrols of a retail location, monitoring access points, responding to incidents, and reporting observations and concerns. Applicants are subject to background and drug screening as permitted by law.

Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and visitors while following security procedures, site-specific policies, and applicable emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of retail sales areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter areas as assigned.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, suspicious activity, and critical situations in accordance with site-specific protocols.
• Monitor access points and observe activity to help deter theft, unauthorized access, and disruptive behavior.
• Prepare accurate reports and promptly communicate observations, incidents, and concerns to appropriate personnel.
