About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Patrol Officer in Newton, Mississippi, to serve and safeguard clients at a logistics location. The officer monitors and patrols assigned areas, maintains a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, reports observations, and provides customer service and communication. The role is scheduled Thursday through Saturday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., at a pay rate of $16.25 per hour. Site facilities are limited and include portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
• Loss prevention experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with a problem-solving approach.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and its perimeter.
• Report observations and maintain a visible security presence to help deter security-related incidents.
