About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced for an assigned site in West Hazleton, Pennsylvania. The role provides a fixed weekly anchor shift with a six-month commitment and allows the officer to claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform. Additional shifts may offer the opportunity to work up to 40 hours per week, with flexibility to scale back. The listed schedule is Thursday, 4:00 PM–12:00 AM. The pay rate is $18.00 per hour.

The position is at a chemical and petrochemical location. The officer provides customer service while carrying out security procedures and site-specific policies, responds to incidents and emergencies, patrols the site, monitors access, and records and communicates relevant activity. Applicants must be at least 18 for unarmed roles and have a high school diploma or equivalent. A background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen are conditions of employment. Licensing may be required under applicable state or local rules.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment.
• Undergo a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• For driving positions only, have a valid driver’s license.

Nice To Haves

• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• A current CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency-response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, spills, and other critical situations, following site procedures and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential hazards.
• Monitor access control points, verify credentials as required, and document visitor, vehicle, and delivery activity according to site procedures.
• Complete accurate reports and activity logs, and promptly communicate observations, incidents, and maintenance concerns to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
