About The Position

As a Security Officer in De Soto, Kansas, you will serve and safeguard clients at a technology-focused location. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, manage access control, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. You will provide customer service, communicate professionally, and use computer or tablet systems to document activity. The role involves unarmed security work and is scheduled full time.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and may be required before employment.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR and First Aid certification.
Access control and badge experience.
Comfort using a computer or tablet.
Ability to lift more than 20 pounds.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors while carrying out security procedures and site-specific policies, and support emergency response activities when appropriate.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office, technology, media, and telecommunications work areas, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as directed by site procedures, and report unusual conditions or access concerns.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, document observations, and communicate with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
Maintain a professional presence to help deter unauthorized activity and support an orderly environment.
