About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed Security Officer to serve and safeguard clients at a technology, media, and telecommunications location in Sterling, Virginia. The role involves monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and providing customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors. The officer communicates with visitors and staff, reports observations, and supports a welcoming environment through teamwork, reliability, integrity, and a people-first approach.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM. The pay rate is $21.53 per hour. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Employment is contingent on a background investigation and drug screening, subject to applicable law. State or local licensing may be required before employment.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Pass a background investigation, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet state and/or local licensing requirements if applicable before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors while following site-specific security procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations; identify unusual activity and report observations.
• Monitor access by checking credentials, verifying visitor authorization, and documenting entries according to site procedures.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and complete required reports.
• Maintain accurate daily activity logs, incident documentation, and communications with Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
