About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced in Kansas City, Missouri. The role is assigned to a designated site and weekly anchor shift, requiring a six-month commitment. In addition to the fixed schedule, the officer may claim extra shifts through the company scheduling platform, with the opportunity to work up to 40 hours per week and scale back as needed. The position pays $18.75 per hour and is at a logistics and distribution location.

The scheduled anchor shifts are Monday and Tuesday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The role provides customer service, manages site access, monitors traffic, conducts patrols, and responds to incidents according to site-specific procedures.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• Have a valid driver's license for driving positions only.
• Commit to the assigned site and weekly anchor shift for six months.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees while following access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and applicable emergency-response procedures.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorization, manage visitor and contractor access, and maintain accurate access-related records.
• Observe vehicle, delivery, and pedestrian traffic at gates or designated access points; communicate entry requirements and direct authorized personnel to appropriate locations.
• Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, escalating concerns according to site-specific procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
