About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced for entry screening at an assigned site in Garfield Heights, Ohio. The position provides a fixed weekly anchor shift requiring a six-month commitment, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform. Hours may vary depending on claimed shifts, with opportunities to build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week. The listed pay rate is $19.10 per hour. The scheduled shift is Friday, 4:30 PM–12:30 AM.

The officer provides customer service and performs site-specific security procedures at telecommunications and technology facilities. Duties include screening and verifying access, maintaining activity records, responding to incidents, and conducting patrols. Employment is contingent on applicable background and drug screening. Licensing may be required under state or local regulations.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles or 21 or older for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors while following security procedures, site policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control access to telecommunications and technology facilities by verifying identification, credentials, visitor authorization, and delivery documentation.
• Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, key, and access activity records according to site procedures.
• Respond calmly to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of facility access points, business areas, and perimeter locations to identify unusual conditions or unauthorized access.
