Security Officer Part Time Standing Guard
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer to serve and safeguard clients at a healthcare location in Los Angeles, California. The role involves unarmed patrols and maintaining a visible presence to help deter incidents while supporting a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. The officer provides customer service, communicates clearly, and responds to security-related concerns with integrity. The position is scheduled Saturdays and Sundays from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM and pays $22.32 per hour. Employees can use Allied Universal’s Claim a Shift platform to view and claim additional shifts. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- State or local licensing requirements may apply and may be required before employment.
- A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities.
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and document events according to site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter access points to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas, verify visitor access according to site policies, and report suspicious activity or policy concerns.
- Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation while supporting a professional, customer-focused environment.
