About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Security Officer for a food and beverage production location in Ottawa, Illinois. The officer will provide customer service and help maintain a safe, welcoming environment for employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel. Duties include patrolling assigned indoor and outdoor areas, monitoring access points, responding to incidents and alarms, and reporting security concerns. The role is scheduled Friday through Sunday, 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, and pays $18.80 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet licensing requirements that may apply under state or local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, exterior grounds, parking areas, perimeter, and shipping and receiving areas.
Monitor access points and verify visitor, contractor, and delivery authorization in accordance with site procedures.
Maintain required logs and documentation.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, medical events, and critical situations; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
Report security-related incidents, property concerns, and policy violations through established channels.
