About The Position

As an Unarmed Perimeter Patrol Security Officer at a retail location in Romeoville, Illinois, you will help safeguard clients, customers, visitors, and employees. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and provide professional customer service. The position is part-time and pays $21.50 per hour. The listed schedule is Monday through Wednesday, 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

The role involves responding to incidents and customer concerns, conducting patrols of the sales floor and other areas, monitoring access points, reporting concerns, and maintaining accurate shift documentation. You will follow site-specific policies and established reporting and escalation procedures, and participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment.
• Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• Comfort using a computer or tablet.

• CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations, following reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of sales floors, common areas, loading and receiving areas, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location; report suspicious behavior, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Complete activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation accurately and according to company and site requirements.
