About The Position

As an Unarmed Patrol Security Officer at a utilities location in Plainfield, Indiana, you will help safeguard employees, contractors, visitors, and utility operations personnel. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, monitor access to restricted areas, and support a welcoming environment. The role calls for strong communication and customer service, teamwork, integrity, reliability, and care for people. This is a full-time position scheduled Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM. The pay rate is $16.00 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and utility operations personnel while carrying out site-specific security procedures and policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; communicate observations and escalate concerns according to site procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of utility facilities, buildings, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
Monitor access to restricted operational areas, verify credentials as required, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity in accordance with site policies.
Complete activity reports, incident reports, and patrol documentation, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
