About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring an unarmed Security Officer for building access control in La Palma, California. The role serves and safeguards clients across industries including commercial real estate, healthcare, education, and government. The officer provides customer service while following safety and security procedures and site-specific policies, responds calmly to incidents and critical situations, and conducts regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or have five years of verifiable experience.
- Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, consistent with applicable laws.
- Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
- Have a valid driver’s license only if applying for a driving position.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients while carrying out safety and security procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter.
