About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed Security Officer for building access control at a commercial real estate location in Orange, California. The officer will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control and alarm response, and provide professional customer service to tenants and visitors. The position is an overnight shift, with scheduled hours Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM. The pay rate is $22.00 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

Alarm panel experience.
Comfort using a computer or tablet.
Customer service experience.
Access control and badge experience.
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and property management staff by following security procedures and site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of office buildings, common areas, parking facilities, entrances, and perimeter areas; identify and report unusual conditions.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site policies, and assist with access control procedures.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, notify appropriate personnel, and document observations.
Complete activity reports, incident reports, and shift handoff communications in accordance with company and site requirements.
