About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer for building entry access control at a manufacturing and industrial location in Irvine, California. The officer will help safeguard employees, visitors, and facility operations by monitoring entry points, verifying access credentials, conducting patrols, responding to security concerns, and providing customer service. The role is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and pays $21.75 per hour.

Requirements

At least two years of security-related experience.
High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles, or at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
State or local licensing may be required prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

Comfort using a computer or tablet.
CPR and First Aid certification.
CPR certification.
Alarm panel experience.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific access-control procedures and policies, and emergency-response activities when appropriate.
Monitor access points and verify credentials, visitor authorizations, and contractor check-in requirements according to site procedures.
Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and delivery logs; issue and collect access badges or credentials; and communicate access concerns to appropriate site contacts.
Respond calmly to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following established protocols and contacting appropriate personnel as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, production areas, and the facility perimeter to deter unauthorized entry and identify security-related concerns.
