About The Position

As a part-time Security Officer at a logistics and distribution location in Cleveland, Ohio, you will help safeguard the site by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, managing visitor access, and conducting routine patrols. You will maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents while providing customer service and clear communication. The role includes access control, incident response, patrols, and accurate reporting. Allied Universal offers a flexible schedule and a platform for viewing and claiming additional shifts.

Requirements

Possess a TSA-issued TWIC.
Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles or 21 years old for armed roles.
Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
Have a valid driver's license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorization, maintain visitor and driver logs, and control entry and exit according to site procedures.
Respond calmly to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations, and promptly report observations to appropriate personnel.
Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
Accurately document daily activities, incidents, and access-control events according to Allied Universal and site-specific reporting requirements.
