About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer for a healthcare location in Orangeburg, New York. The officer will serve as a welcoming, visible presence for patients, visitors, and staff while supporting access control, responding to alarms and security-related concerns, and providing customer service and communication. The schedule is Monday and Tuesday from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Pay is $16.00–$16.50 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles or 21 years old or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment.
Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet licensing requirements that may apply under state or local laws and regulations.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience.
A guard card or license.
Experience with alarm panels.
Experience with access control and badge systems.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors while following security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
Staff the front desk and manage visitor access by greeting individuals, verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, and directing guests according to facility protocols.
Monitor access points and lobby activity, and report unusual conditions or unauthorized access attempts to appropriate personnel.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents and critical situations, coordinating with facility staff and emergency responders as needed.
Maintain accurate visitor logs, incident documentation, and other required records.
Provide professional telephone and communication support.
