About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Credential Audit in Arlington, Virginia, at a corporate technology location. The role provides a fixed assigned-site and weekly shift as a reliable base schedule, requiring a six-month commitment. Officers may claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform, with the opportunity to increase their hours up to 40 hours per week and adjust their schedule as needed.

The position provides customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities. Officers conduct unarmed patrols, monitor access and visitor activity, and respond to and document incidents. The listed pay rate is $21.75 per hour. The scheduled shift is Saturday, 11:00 PM–7:00 AM.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a corporate technology location while following security procedures, site-specific policies, and applicable emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, entrances, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to identify and report unusual conditions or policy concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity according to site procedures, assist with access control, and direct individuals as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and professionally, notify appropriate personnel, and document events according to site requirements.
