About The Position

As a part-time Security Officer in Spanaway, Washington, you will safeguard clients at a manufacturing and industrial location. You will help manage site entry points, verify access credentials, monitor visitor and employee movement, and report security-related concerns. The role includes maintaining a visible presence to help deter incidents and providing outstanding customer service through clear, professional communication. The schedule is Saturday and Sunday, 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM. The pay rate is $23.40 per hour.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles or 21 or older for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• Have a valid driver's license if applying for a driving position.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by following security procedures and site-specific policies, and performing emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Control facility access by verifying identification, credentials, visitor authorizations, and contractor requirements according to site procedures.
• Monitor entry and exit points, maintain accurate visitor and vehicle logs, issue access credentials as authorized, and report access-related concerns to site leadership.
• Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, document observations, and notify appropriate personnel according to established procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, production-adjacent areas, parking areas, and the facility perimeter; report unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized access.
