About The Position

As a part-time Security Officer in Chantilly, Virginia, you will help safeguard a logistics and distribution location. The role focuses on access control, credential verification, badge access, visitor support, and customer service. You will use computer or tablet systems to document activity, communicate clearly, and help deter security-related incidents. The listed pay rate is $21.36 per hour. The schedule is Saturday and Sunday, 1:00 AM to 9:00 AM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Monitor access points for employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel; verify credentials and maintain accurate access-related records.
Control vehicle entry and exit at gates, checking driver identification, shipping documentation, and assigned access authorization as required by site policy.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, escalating concerns to appropriate site contacts and emergency responders when needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, trailer yards, loading areas, parking lots, and the business perimeter to identify and report security concerns and deter unauthorized activity.
