About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced for a logistics and distribution location in York, Pennsylvania. The position provides a designated site and dependable weekly anchor shifts, with a six-month commitment to the assigned shift. In addition to those shifts, officers may claim extra shifts through the scheduling platform, with the opportunity to work up to 40 hours per week and scale back when needed. The listed schedule is Saturday and Sunday, 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM. Pay is $17.50 per hour.

The officer provides customer service while carrying out security procedures and site-specific policies, responds to incidents and access concerns, conducts unarmed patrols, monitors entry and exit points, and completes reports and shift communications. The role may include emergency response activities when appropriate.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any licensing requirements imposed by applicable state or local laws; licensing may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond calmly to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations, following site-specific reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking areas, perimeter, and other designated locations.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized access according to site procedures, and report unusual activity or conditions to appropriate personnel.
• Complete activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications accurately and promptly.
