About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer to serve and safeguard clients at a professional financial institution in Somerset, New Jersey. The officer will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible security presence, provide customer service, and communicate with employees, visitors, and other stakeholders. The role involves following site-specific procedures and policies, responding to security concerns, and supporting a professional, controlled environment. The scheduled overnight hours are 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM, Monday through Friday. The pay rate is $21.00 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21 years of age.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable law.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any licensing requirements applicable under state or local law; licensing may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a financial institution while following security procedures and site-specific policies and undertaking emergency response activities when appropriate.
Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain accurate logs and documentation according to site procedures.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, and promptly communicate observations to appropriate personnel.
Conduct regular and random patrols of office areas, parking facilities, and the business perimeter to identify and report unusual conditions or policy concerns.
Help deter unauthorized access and remain aware of security-related activities throughout the location.
