About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Patrol Unarmed Security Officer for an overnight driving position in Columbia, South Carolina. The officer will serve and safeguard clients by patrolling an assigned location, maintaining a visible security presence, and providing customer service and clear communication. The role requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal’s driver policy. The schedule is Friday and Saturday, 11:00 PM–7:00 AM. The pay rate is $18.00 per hour. Applicants must meet the stated age and education requirements and are subject to background investigation and drug screening, as permitted by law. State or local licensing may be required before employment.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license, as required for driving positions and in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
State and/or local licensing may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations while following established site protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, exterior areas, access points, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor and report unusual conditions, unauthorized persons, property concerns, and potential hazards to appropriate personnel.
Accurately document patrols, incidents, and observations according to site-specific reporting procedures.
