About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced for a commercial real estate location in Burbank, California. The role provides a fixed weekly anchor shift at an assigned site, requiring a six-month commitment. The officer may also claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform, with the opportunity to work up to 40 hours per week and scale back as needed. The stated pay rate is $19.65 per hour. The listed schedule is Thursday, 12:30 AM–8:30 AM.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation, as permitted and required by applicable law.
• Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and employees while following site-specific security procedures and policies.
• Staff the front desk; greet and screen visitors; verify access authorization; issue visitor credentials; and maintain accurate visitor records.
• Monitor access points, lobby activity, and security-related systems, and report unusual activity or access concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond professionally and calmly to incidents, service requests, and critical situations, coordinating with building management and emergency responders when appropriate.
• Maintain a professional lobby presence, give directions and assistance to guests, and communicate relevant information to on-site personnel.
