About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Enhanced Security Officer for Visitor Services in Ontario, California. The role provides reliable hours at an assigned site, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform. The designated site and weekly anchor shift require a six-month commitment. Additional shifts may offer the opportunity to build toward a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back.

The position is scheduled Thursdays from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and pays $18.00 per hour. The officer provides visitor-facing security and customer service at a retail front desk, follows site-specific procedures, and documents activity and incidents.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.

Nice To Haves

• Comfort using a computer or tablet.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and delivery personnel at a retail front desk while carrying out site-specific security procedures and policies.
• Greet and direct visitors, maintain visitor sign-in records, issue access credentials when authorized, and communicate access requests to appropriate personnel.
• Monitor front desk activity and observe entry and exit areas; report unusual activity, policy concerns, and maintenance issues to appropriate contacts.
• Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, following site-specific emergency response procedures.
• Maintain accurate daily activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation.
• Communicate professionally by telephone and radio.
