About The Position

As a part-time Security Officer in Winston Salem, North Carolina, you will serve and safeguard clients at a manufacturing and industrial location. You will help maintain a secure environment by managing entry points, verifying credentials, monitoring access activity, and assisting employees and visitors professionally. The role uses computer or tablet systems to support access control functions, communicate clearly, and provide customer-focused service. The scheduled hours are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM. The pay rate is $14.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by following site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue visitor passes, and maintain accurate access-related logs and records.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of facility access points, production-area perimeters, parking areas, and exterior grounds to identify unauthorized activity or access concerns.
• Assist with monitoring vehicle and delivery traffic, direct authorized personnel to designated locations, and report unusual conditions according to site procedures.
