About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer for identity verification at an assigned food and beverage production location in Nashville, Tennessee. The role provides a fixed weekly schedule for a six-month commitment, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform. Additional shifts may allow the employee to increase their hours up to 40 hours per week, with the flexibility to scale back. The pay rate is $19.96 per hour.

The position involves providing customer service while carrying out site-specific access-control procedures and security policies. Duties include verifying identities and authorization, monitoring entry and exit points, screening personnel and deliveries, responding to incidents, and conducting patrols.

Requirements

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age or older for armed roles.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements; a license may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

• CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while following site-specific access-control procedures and security policies.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate access logs.
• Screen incoming and outgoing personnel, vehicles, and deliveries as assigned, following procedures for restricted areas and controlled access points.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, the production facility perimeter, and other assigned areas; deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
