About The Position

As a Security Officer supporting an aerospace and defense location in Salt Lake City, Utah, you will provide front-desk service, manage access, verify credentials, and communicate professionally with employees and guests. Your presence will help deter security-related incidents while supporting a controlled, service-focused environment. The role is part-time and pays $21.69 per hour. The scheduled shifts are Saturday and Sunday from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM.

Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience.
Active DoD Secret clearance.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a front desk by following site-specific security procedures and access protocols.
Greet visitors, verify identification and authorization, issue visitor credentials, and direct visitors according to site policies.
Monitor access points, maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and delivery records, and help deter unauthorized entry.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following established emergency response procedures.
Communicate security concerns, unusual activity, access issues, and visitor matters promptly to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
