About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Identity Verification in Tampa, Florida. The position provides a dependable weekly shift at an assigned site, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform. The designated site and weekly anchor shift require a six-month commitment. Additional shifts may offer the opportunity to increase hours, potentially up to 40 hours per week, while retaining the option to scale back. The listed pay rate is $17.75 per hour. The scheduled shift is Saturday, 12:30 PM–8:15 PM.

The officer provides customer service and carries out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a healthcare location. Duties include screening people entering the site, verifying visitor credentials, issuing passes as directed, responding to incidents, and conducting patrols.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Undergo a background investigation, subject to applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Undergo a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements; a license may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Screen individuals entering the healthcare location according to established access and screening protocols.
• Verify visitor credentials, issue visitor passes as directed, and communicate entry requirements professionally.
• Respond calmly and effectively to incidents and critical situations, escalating concerns to appropriate site personnel and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entrances, common areas, and the surrounding perimeter; working conditions may vary by location.
