About The Position

As a part-time Security Officer serving as an Identity Screener in Chester, Virginia, you will help safeguard a technology, media, and telecommunications location. You will support a secure environment by monitoring access points, screening visitors and deliveries, and reporting security-related concerns. The role emphasizes exceptional customer service, clear communication, visible presence, and helping deter incidents. The schedule listed is Tuesday and Wednesday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The pay rate is $19.00 per hour.

Requirements

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles or 21 years old for armed roles.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security procedures, access-screening protocols, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Screen individuals and authorized items entering designated areas according to established procedures, maintaining a professional and respectful approach.
Verify identification, visitor credentials, and access authorization in accordance with site policies; direct guests and vendors to appropriate check-in locations or contacts.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, prohibited-item concerns, and critical situations, and promptly communicate observations to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
Maintain accurate logs and complete required reports related to screenings, visitor activity, incidents, and other security-related matters.
