About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed Security Officer to support a government transportation location in Mechanicsville, Virginia. The officer will safeguard employees, visitors, contractors, and members of the public by conducting routine and random patrols, maintaining a visible presence, monitoring access, responding to incidents, and providing professional customer service. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday, 12:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m., at a pay rate of $15.50 per hour.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation, as permitted and required by applicable law.
• Submit to a drug screen, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and members of the public by following site-specific procedures and security policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas; identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access to assigned areas and verify visitor and contractor authorization as directed.
• Maintain required logs and documentation.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, traffic-related concerns, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and emergency responders when needed.
• Prepare clear and accurate incident reports, shift activity logs, and patrol documentation in accordance with company and site requirements.
