About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced for access control at an assigned transportation facility in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The role provides a fixed weekly schedule at a designated site, with a six-month commitment to the assigned shifts. Employees may claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform, with the opportunity to work up to 40 hours per week and adjust their schedule as needed. The pay rate is $17.51 per hour. The posted fixed shifts are Friday and Saturday, 2:00 PM–10:00 PM.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles or at least 21 years old for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any licensing requirements applicable under state or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.

• Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, employees, vendors, and visitors while carrying out security procedures, airport-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, identification, badges, and authorization for entry to restricted areas of the transportation facility.
• Control access to designated areas by following visitor management, key control, and access badge procedures.
• Respond calmly and with a problem-solving approach to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations; escalate issues according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, terminal areas, and perimeter locations.
