About The Position

As a part-time Security Officer in Clayton, North Carolina, you will safeguard a healthcare client by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, managing badge access, and responding to security-related concerns. You will support routine access procedures while providing customer service and clear communication. The role is scheduled Saturdays and Sundays from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM. The pay rate is $21.21 per hour.

Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age or older for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply under state and/or local laws and regulations.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience.
CPR and First Aid certification.
Ability to lift more than 20 pounds.
Access-control and badge experience.

Responsibilities

Carry out site-specific access-control procedures and visitor-management protocols, and perform emergency response activities when appropriate.
Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorizations, issue temporary access materials, and maintain accurate entry and exit records.
Observe personnel, visitor, and vehicle activity to deter unauthorized access and escalate irregularities according to site procedures.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, promptly notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency personnel.
Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access-control areas, the business, and perimeter, and report security-related concerns.
