About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Access Control Officer to support a logistics and distribution location in Lathrop, California. The officer monitors entry and exit points, verifies credentials, manages visitor access, conducts routine patrols, and maintains a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. The role also provides customer service and clear communication to help create a welcoming environment. The schedule is Monday and Tuesday, 12:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. The pay rate is $19.73 per hour. Requirements

Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; at least 21 years old for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements; licensing may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by following site-specific security procedures and access-control policies, and performing emergency response activities when appropriate.
Monitor and control access by verifying identification, screening visitors and vendors, issuing visitor credentials, and maintaining entry and exit records.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations; notify site contacts or emergency services as directed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, dock areas, parking areas, warehouses, and the business perimeter to identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or access-control concerns.
Maintain accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and access-control logs according to site procedures and Allied Universal requirements.
