About The Position

As a Security Officer and X-ray screener in Sterling, Virginia, you will help safeguard a financial institution by screening visitors and items, monitoring access points, and responding to security-related concerns. You will support a professional, welcoming environment through strong communication and customer service while helping deter incidents and support daily operations. The position is full-time and pays $27.27 per hour. The listed schedule is 10:00 PM–6:00 AM on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Requirements

• At least two years of security-related experience.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• State or local licensing requirements may apply and may be required before employment.
• A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and customers by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Screen individuals and belongings in accordance with site procedures, identify prohibited items or irregular conditions, and report concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Verify visitor access requirements, direct guests to appropriate locations, and maintain professional communication while supporting controlled entry.
• Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, following established escalation and notification procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, entry points, and the surrounding business perimeter to deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
