Security Officer Full Time X Ray Screening
About The Position
As a full-time Security Officer performing X-ray screening at a logistics and distribution location in Reading, Pennsylvania, you will help safeguard clients by screening people and items, supporting access-control procedures, and maintaining an orderly environment. You will remain visible, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, document security-related activities, and provide customer service. The schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, 3:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. The pay rate is $18.99 per hour. Candidates must have at least one year of verifiable, relevant security experience. Customer service and X-ray screening experience are preferred.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of relevant security-related experience, verifiable and relevant to the position.
- At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing may be required before employment, subject to state and/or local laws and regulations.
- A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel by following site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Screen employees, visitors, packages, and/or vehicles entering the logistics and distribution location in accordance with site procedures.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials and shipping-related documentation, and report unauthorized access attempts or irregularities to site leadership.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, loading zones, business areas, and perimeter locations.
- Remain visible, communicate professionally, and document security-related activities.
